I’ve been ‘writing a book’ for four years. And when I say ‘writing’ I’m not kidding around. I have 3 different outlines, notebooks FULL of pros, chapters complete, ideas mapped out – literally tens of thousands of words ready to go…. (and that’s not including the 300 blog posts, or 20+articles I’ve written for online […]
That book you’re writing….
That weight you’re losing….
That marathon you’re training for….
That business you’re building…..
Put the whip away.
Partner with yourself.
After all, it is YOU who will do all the hard work, the long hours, the late nights. Show yourself support, compassion, love and nurture as you embark on these valiant journeys.
Because at the end of […]
In 2007 I was well on my way down the path of personal development. I had spent a year studying with Bob Proctor in his Coaching/Consulting course, discovered the 5 years in my dark, ground level apartment did have a purpose, came to the realization that I hated my job and wanted out, AND had […]
I was moderating a panel of absolutely exceptional women earlier this week, all of whom are incredibly accomplished in the corporate arena. The conversation was fun and funny – the gals were really open about sharing their experiences in a way that didn’t buffer the truth, which was refreshing and inspiring for the audience.
That said, […]
[ May 5, 2011; 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. ] On May 5, 2011, at District 319 in Gastown, we would like to invite you to SHIFTED. A showcase of five entrepreneurs and leaders recounting their stories of bumps in the road, “aha!” moments, down and dirty failures, fears faced and choices grabbed by the throat. The moments where life handed them a sack of […]
This concept of tolerating being just another form of suffering was something that my coach brought to my attention about a year ago. At first glance it seems like an agreeable and somewhat simple idea, but, trust me this is a little deeper than you think. When we think of suffering we usually think of […]
Doing business can be easy – if we let it.
When I finally made the leap into entrepreneurism, my biggest hurdle was getting my head around the fact that I could choose my customers. I was so used to being in service, bending over backwards, literally doing any thing and everything that I could to keep […]
I recently re-read, for I think the 4th time, Timothy Ferriss’s phenomenal book “The 4-Hour Workweek” which is packed cover to cover with concepts and ideas that are imperitive for ensuring you are living the life you choose. If you’ve been entertaining ideas of a different life than the one you lead today what’s […]
Ok, so now that you’re rejuvenated after taking a rest yesterday, it’s time to get serious on building a business, in case you made the mistake, like so many do when they turn to self employment, of buying a job. Being a slave to your business is no better than having a boss to answer […]
Yet again I have been the victim of another universal conspiracy – something I’ve become pleasantly accustomed to. After writing yesterday about fear I had been thinking a lot about it and because of that it’s been showing up in very interesting ways. For example, today I was coaching a client who is absolutely incredible […]
I put “hire a Life Coach” on my 2012 goals. I knew in my heart if I made this move, which is super scary I might add, that I would see who I truly was, what I was made of and could catapult my career and life in a really positive direction. Working with Heather has truly done that.
I have more clarity, I am achieving my goals quickly because I now know what’s important and what I want to focus on and have more peace and confidence in my personal life and business life.
I find that working with Heather is like working with a friend and a solid business person who is REAL and truly supports and cheers me on to my goals.
I met Heather in the Summer of 2009 and she quickly became a constant ray of sunshine in my life.
From that moment on, Heather would be there during my strides forward (and self-inflicted slip-ups!) with encouragement, powerful suggestions and support whether my needs were business or life-related.
Wise beyond her years, Heather’s intuitive faculties come to the fore when meeting with a new client and when presented with any subsequent challenge they may have. Although there is a vast age difference between us, I can honestly say that I never feel for one moment that we are not in total harmony. Her winning smile, contagious laugh and whoops of excitement when barriers are broken down and corners are turned is the stuff encouragement is made of!
