[ November 6, 2011; 12:15 pm to 1:15 pm. ] Brand is the personality that identifies you, it’s the conversation people have about you when you’re not there, it’s the promise that you make about what you can and will deliver.
Understanding what makes you unique, how you stand out from the crowd, and how to become remarkable, is the easiest, most cost effective way to […]
1. Don’t compare yourself to other people.
“Be yourself – everyone else is taken” -Gail Larsen
It’s important to set your own goals and compare yourself and your progress to the outcome of your desires. If you slip in to the trap of comparing yourself to others – it’s hard to get out.
2. Don’t resist your emotions.
I was recently at an event with a bunch of my former colleagues from the large corporation I used to work for. I was there, representing my own company, and although it was great to see them and catch up, I was a bit shocked to notice and furthermore realize – they were all sticking […]
I never get tired of hearing the various perspectives on how to live an authentic, truthful, purpose driven, passion filled life. Don Miguel Ruiz in his book The Four Agreements recharged my batteries when it comes to this commitment. The commitment is one you make with yourself. We’ve all been told that […]
I was meeting with a client last week who gave me permission to share this story as an important lesson to entrepreneurs/business owners about making assumptions.
This gal is a successful health care practitioner who had been working with a new client for a couple of weeks. They had been doing the initial assessment work in […]
It’s more important than ever these days to take stock of who you are spending your time with? Are you hanging around with positive opportunists or negative nellies who are running around screaming the sky is falling. Are your conversations filled with hope and excitement or doom and gloom? Does your social environment challenge and […]
Over the past year one of my aspirations/desires that has gotten louder and louder between my two ears and within my heart is to write. I love writing – it fuels my soul, brings me tremendous joy, uses my overactive mind in a positive way and reaches out to other humans in a non-invasive way. […]
Within my coaching practice one of the things I do a lot of is coaching clients as they prepare for an interview. When people apply for a job there are often a lot of factors that play in to their ability to deliver a solid interview. For instance, when a client is looking for a […]
I was waiting at the stop light at Granville & Broadway a while back and although I try not to eavesdrop on other people’s conversations, this time I couldn’t help but over hear. Two you girls, probably 20 something, were looking up towards the north shore mountains that had just received another dump of […]
I had debated for about a year whether to hire a business coach or not. I read Heather’s website, and loved her philosophies and style. I reached out, but at the time she was full and not able to accept additional clients. I went ahead and interviewed a few other coaches, but none had the feel I got from reading her website.
Months later I reached out again, and her scheduled had cleared!
I could not be happier. She helps me stay focused on my goals, problem solve issues, and better yet, holds me accountable because she cares.
She is available when I need her, and has clarity at times when I do not.
Her wisdom is so profound. I am so grateful to have waited for her coaching!
I met Heather in the Summer of 2009 and she quickly became a constant ray of sunshine in my life.
From that moment on, Heather would be there during my strides forward (and self-inflicted slip-ups!) with encouragement, powerful suggestions and support whether my needs were business or life-related.
Wise beyond her years, Heather’s intuitive faculties come to the fore when meeting with a new client and when presented with any subsequent challenge they may have. Although there is a vast age difference between us, I can honestly say that I never feel for one moment that we are not in total harmony. Her winning smile, contagious laugh and whoops of excitement when barriers are broken down and corners are turned is the stuff encouragement is made of!
